No more Expensive Air Tickets in India – Capping will be removed by end of August 2022

The Covid -19 pandemic has had a significant impact on the economy and the lives of the people as a reason the government had sort to keep the airline ticket prices within  limits. Upper and Lower limit on the price impaired the healthy competition and made air travel expensive.

However, as per reports, the Ministry of Civill Aviation has plans to lift the upper and lower limit from the airfares by the end of August which means air fares will be fixed by the market resulting in fierce market competition.

“The decision to remove airfare caps has been taken after a careful analysis of daily demand and prices of air turbine fuel. Stabilisation has set in and we are certain that the sector is poised for growth in domestic traffic in the near future,” tweeted civil aviation minister Jyotiraditya Scindia.
