‘India Aviation 2016’ to be launched by the President on 16th March

The 5th edition of India Aviation 2016 is likely to be inaugurated by President Pranab Mukherjee on 16th March in Hyderabad. This mega aviation expo will be taking place at Begumpet Airport. It will be a 5 day long event that has been organised by the Ministry of Civil Aviation along with FICCI – Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry.

The theme of India Aviation 2016 is “Potential As Global Manufacturing and MRO Hub”.

Around 200 major participants are expected at this major show. This will include aircraft & helicopter makers and some of the leading players of the aviation industry and related businesses like Airbus, Boeing, Gulfstream, Agusta Westland, Bell Helicopters, Dassault, Textron, Embraer and many more.

FICCI stated that “Some well-known engine manufacturers like CFM, UTC, GE Aviation, Rolls Royce and Pratt and Whitney will showcase their products and expertise,”.

This mega aviation expo is supported by Airports Authority of India, Director General Civil Aviation, Bureau of Civil Aviation Security, SP Guide Publications, Pawan Hans, Air India, Fornborough International, Industries and Business Aircraft Operators Association and Society of Indian Aerospace Technologies.

As the President will be inaugurating this mega aviation event in Hyderabad, the city police is making the best possible security arrangements in and around Begumpet Airport. In a press release the police has said that “A total of 632 police personnel will perform bandobast (arrangement) duty in view of visit of Hon’ble President of India. CCTV cameras have been installed at important points and traffic will be regulated”.
