May Day is an alarming situation in the aviation industry and some similar situation took place on 23rd August. An Indigo aircraft scheduled to fly with 187 passengers and four infants onboard to Mumbai developed a technical snag while proceeding at the runway at 1.27 pm at the Goa airport, reported by a senior official. On a positive note, airport director SVT Dhananjao Rao informed that the passengers had been rescued safely by the Indian Navy Team. He further added that the aircraft was taken to the taxi bay by the Navy teams and pushed back by Bay number nine. As per reports, the movement of other aircraft did not get affected due to the occurrence of this incident.
